my 2.5 6zyl blitz engine has taken his last liter of gasoline.
and im thinking of replacing it with a 2.3 TDI from an omega -94
The blitz is a B 1974 camper
And my question is if should keep the 4 speed gearbox from the blitz.
or use the 5 speed T25 gearbox as is with the diesel engine.
Would the PKW gearbox keep up to the task? and how to mate the driveshafts together? with the rubber "hardy schibe" as in the car or make an adapter from the 3 bolt flange at the gearbox to the 6 bolt flange at the blitz driveshaft?
or is it any else "normal" flange as will fit the 5 speed gearbox
I have been thinking of to turn the omega gear lever linkage a half turn so its points forward do get the shift lever in almost normal place for the blitz.
Is it some one else here who has done this? or is running a PKW gearbox in a blitz ?

in meinem Opel Blitz arbeitet seit fast 8 Jahren ein 2.3 TD vom Record mit 5 Gang Getriebe.
Das Getriebe ist robust genug, um 4 Tonnen zu bewegen. Den Übergang zur Kardanwelle habe ich mit Hardy – Scheibe gemacht. Bisher auch keine Probleme.

Wo kommt oben den Schalthebel raus?. Passt das noch im orignal Loch drinn oder nach hinten irgendwo.

Was denkst du, kann ich ein 2,4 cih mit dem original Omega Getribe einbauen? Kennst du jemand der sowas schon gemacht hat?
